Original Detroit Grand Pubah, Andy Toth dons his EXB fedora with a dark, sexy feather on this purely original and highly addictive, panty-dropping, Minimal Techno/R&B masterpiece. On “Thrillseekers,” Billy Love’s pivot-and-punch delivery is crystallized in one solid track with a sexed-up recollection of the New Dance show era in 1980′s Detroit. Packaged with a trio of remixes, this EP’s diversity is clearly evident. The light switch is turned off on the “Michigan Left Demix”, resulting in a darker, straight-to-the-point, bare bones rendition. On Midnite Jackers’ take on the track, it’s quite the contrary — this extended house mix floors the mind with in-your-face delivery and radio static confusion (of the most entertaining sort). The legendary DJ Godfather rounds out the pack, transforming “Thrillseekers” into electro grime.
